Scarf Versatility: Magenta Lace

We are super obsessed with the lace trend and we have added lots of new lace scarves to the shop! This is one of many that we love and Ashley actually wears like once a week. The color is a gorgeous magenta that is perfect for fall and it is over a light cream fabric that matches black, brown and navy!!

Scarf Versatility: Coral with White Dots

This scarf is absolutely one of my current favorites! With the cold weather setting in it is nice to keep something bright in my wardrobe, and who doesn't love a great piece that transitions from spring and summer into the fall and winter months?! These three outfits are sure to get you a second look on the street!

The last outfit here I actually wore to class on Monday! It was a beautiful fall day and my jean jacket has definitely been a great staple for me lately. It was a little chilly so the coral scarf added some warmth while also adding a great pop of color!

 

For people that tend to wear neutrals all the time (me), a scarf is a great way to glam up an outfit without it being too much color for you!

Scarf Versatility: Black and White Houndstooth Print

This newly uploaded scarf has quickly become one of my favorites! It has such a classic look and with the simple colors, it matches so much!! Here are some of my favorite outfit ideas with this scarf:

I love how casual and how dressy you can make this scarf! It really is a perfect addition to any wardrobe. It also works from season to season as a great fall piece with an orange shirt and light washed jeans like the first outfit, to a dressy dinner or event with a deep teal dress and pumps in the winter like the second outfit, to paired with a standout royal blue maxi and sandals in the spring!

 

As the fall and winter months are coming, we cannot wait to start accessorizing and layering, and an infinity scarf is a great way to do so!

We're Back!

Wow it has been a while since we have posted! I have been super busy with the start of a new semester and my sorority's formal recruitment! But fear not, the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Sigma Kappa has just gained 52 amazing new young women!

 Now that recruitment is over and I have gotten into the swing of things at school again, we will definitely be posting more blog posts and adding more scarves! Also be sure to stay tuned for a great deal coming up in the month of September!!

Scarf Versatility: White and Pink Stripes Infinity Scarf

The fabric used to make this scarf is so interesting, we just love it! It is a knitted fabric with solid light pink stripes mixed with white lace stripes and it is absolutely gorgeous!

This scarf can easily pass for a winter, fall or spring scarf which is one of the reasons we love it so much! The following three outfits are our favorite ways to wear this scarf!

As you can see, the first outfit is very casual and more of a fall/ winter outfit while the second two are a bit dressier. We love that you can pair this scarf with blacks or browns and gold or silver jewelry! It makes it so versatile in your wardrobe. It is light weight enough to be worn in the spring and early summer seasons, but not so lightweight that it doesn't flow with fall and winter outfits!

Fall Scarf Preview

Here at Marie Kay Designs we have been busy getting ready for the fall season! Scarves are a huge must have in any woman's wardrobe once the temperatures start dropping. We love dark, rich fall colors so we have been hunting down some beautiful fabrics to use in our fall scarves! We are so excited about these prints that we couldn't keep them to ourselves so we just have to give a little sneak peak...

Scarf Versatility: Rust With Cream Colored Dots

Rust orange is a great fall color, but it can be hard to match and make outfits for! In this post we have created three looks with our rust with cream polka dots scarf to give you all some ideas of how to wear this color!

The first and last of these outfits are pretty casual, but we wanted to show how you could make a more wintery outfit like the one with leggings and boots, or a more fall outfit with jeans, a tshirt and Toms! The middle outfit is more dressy and if you have ever met Ashley, you know that a skater skirt is her favorite thing in the world to wear, so this is one of her favorite looks.
